Are you ready to Discover a new adventure?

As part of our legendary events for Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers, Strategy and Evolution invite our youngest sections in Scouting and Guiding to Discover—a day of fun, adventure, and excitement at Cirencester Park!

Discover is a high-energy, adventure-filled event for Squirrels, Rainbows, and Beavers. Get ready to bounce into Summer, dance into Autumn, glide into Winter, and skip into Spring!

This four-season-themed fun day is packed with thrilling activities, new friendships, and the chance to tick off badge requirements and top awards—all while making unforgettable memories!

What is discover?

From the moment you arrive, we’ll kick things off with a high-energy opening ceremony—expect music, dancing, and plenty of surprises to get everyone buzzing with excitement!

Then, it’s time to embark on your four-season adventure!

You’ll journey through four action-packed themed zones, spending an hour in each, taking on exciting challenges, exploring new activities, and making new friends along the way.

At lunchtime, the fun doesn’t stop! Settle in for a fantastic show—packed with laughter, amazement, and maybe even a little magic.

As the day winds down, we’ll bring everyone back together for an unforgettable closing ceremony—celebrating all the fun, achievements, and memories made throughout the day. Expect jokes, dancing, and a whole lot of joy as we wrap up an incredible adventure!

Head down to the Strategy and Evolution site on 28th June (The Saturday of Evolution). 9:30am – 3:30pm

Discover is open to any young person in Squirrels, Beavers or Rainbows to attend as a part of your group.

We are initially aiming to have 300 participants for Discover in 2025.

To give our young Discoverers the best day ever, we need one extra volunteer adult for every 10 young people in your group.

Without enough volunteers, we simply can’t run this amazing event!

But don’t worry—helping out isn’t just about keeping things running, it’s about being part of the fun! You’ll get to join in the excitement, support young people as they try new activities, and be part of the laughs, games, and magic of the day. We’ll make it easy for you! Volunteers will pick a role from our Job Shop, and we’ll provide everything you need—so you can jump in, have fun, and make a difference!

So, rally your grown-ups, sign up, and help us make Discover an unforgettable adventure! 🚀🎉

£20.00 per young person. For this all activities, entertainment, resources and site services (toilets, water, etc…) will be provided.

£7.50 per adult volunteer. Site services and refreshments will be available.

£10.00 per Young Leader. This will mean that Young Leaders can also enjoy some of the activities.

Every attendee will receive a cloth badge.

Unfortunately due to the terms of the site license no dogs (other than guide dogs) are allowed on site. This includes during drop off and pickup.

There will be a clear one way system and sufficient parking in a separate area to the activity area. To prevent congestion, please restrict the number of pick-up vehicles to a minimum at the end of the event. The organisers will not accept any responsibility for damage to vehicles.

There are toilets on site, with basic hand-washing facilities. We provide a location to get tea and coffee throughout the event but do ask that you do bring your own mug.

We are asking everyone to bring a packed lunch with their favourite food in.

Inflatable games, silent disco, gaming zones, a planetarium, craft activities, story corner, soft archery, Nerf rifle shooting, a Teddy-Bears Picnic, Petting Farm, Birds of prey, see real-life superheroes and much, much more. These are just some of the activities that we want to be able to bring to the young people
